So, today (almost yesterday) was the first day of my Summer I session classes at UNT. I'm taking Intro to Logic and Principles of Macroeconomics.
Both of the profs (well one of them, the Logic teacher, is actually a TA who looks like [and says that he is] my age. Bizzare, n'est pas?) seem to be pretty cool, and just generally reasonable people.
Anywho, that being said, neither of the courses looks like it will be TOO terribly hard. I'll have to work, but it doesn't look like it's going to be crazy, pouund-me-in-the-a** hard, which is good.
Embarassed myself in Logic a wee bit by answering a question backwards on accident, but these things happen. I'm not the type to make the same silly mistake like that again. Haha.
The only person I really talked to was a nice guy who sits in front of me in Logic class-- said his name was Daylan (I'm doing that phonetically, so it may or may not be right}, but he was very pleasant and nice and all that jazz. He looked off of my textbook because he hadnt bought his yet. I don't blame him, it was kind of a ripoff, but I digress.
My Econ prof is very peppy. Something about me and teachers dealing with economics--they're always upbeat. I guess one would have to be to get people interested in Accounting or Finance or Economics, but oh well.
I dont know if I'll EVER get to know anyone in either of my classes, but more so in my Econ class, because the classroom is so large, and it's only about half full, so people don't need to get to know each other. I hate that sort of situation, because it makes the whole semester seem like one perpetual awkward moment.
Well, I'll figure it out eventually.
Fortunately, I have other, more pleasureable prospects ahead to occupy my mind with...
James.
Have you ever been ripped off? What happened?
Submitted by Trudie.
Yes, columbian drug lords.
No...
No.
Yes.
Prom was not worth 70 bucks.
It was homecoming with crappy food and free junk.
Rip. Off.
So. *cough*
It's a parody
Of a comic by the name of "A Softer World".
Done by me. Of me. For you. And me.
What say you, Internet and friends?
Here is a softer world for those who have not ever seen it. It's actually very cool, and I like it quite a bit.

Found the library book today.
Suffice it to say that it was completely invisible, etc.
Still thinking of a way to blame it on someone else.
Or...I think I'll just blame it on the British Pound's new 15 year high.
YEAH. Yeah... Chew on that for a few minutes...
Ouais... pour les Francophones, jaja!
Encore furieux? You bet I am.
Plus Solaar plus tard, d'accord? D'accord.
Went to the library Sunday, argued with the folks there about a book I've already returned but they say I have not.
This isn't even the first time it's happened, and the last time, they were the one's at fault. Needless to say,
I'm suspicious. Anywho, I still got myself a good number of CDs (like...13) and I'm still going through them.
I got a couple of books on nanotechnology as well, but the one book I wanted
(the only book in the library about the concept of technological singularities) was on an indefinite hold...Gah.
In other news, I have pretty much finished this newspaper illustration:
What did you drink that made you do your last famous Hollywood "spit-take"?
Submitted by LittleGreenBook.Ugh...Korean Red Ginsing energy drink...
WOW...Bad stuff.
Do you have a sixth sense? How do you experience it?
Well, I don't have a sixth sense, but I do have several superpowers approaching 6th-sense-dom
Among them:
The ability to create portmanteaus out of any two words
The ability to gauge improbable exposure settings by sight (read, "guessing")
The ability to make puns, double entendres, and generally any kind of sarcastic remark at a moment's notice.
And last but not least, and certainly the only really serious andwer, the ability to visualize a concept.
Thanks Ansel Adams.
Now with 99% more insignificance, but that's okay. This is the internet after all.
So, today...
Worked on illustration for the paper, made much less progress than I would have liked,
but I'll probably be going back to work on it in a few minutes...
On the other hand...I think I may be nearly done with my first oil painting.
I've been working on it on and off for several months, and I finally have it where I actually kinda like it.
The great thing about personal projects like this though, is that I can come back to them whenever I want.
Still have several things to write...most of them newspaper related...one less than inspiring English project,
but it is what it is.
As it stands, I really only want to work on my creative writing things...yanno, side stuff, as always.
Anyway, new nice, spiffy, new blog.
Vox seems pretty cool, here's to hoping I can keep up my personal posting goal.
Thank you and why yes, those are pictures of meeeee. haha read more
on I THOUGHT I'D JUST SHARE THIS.
